Bloomberg Masters in Business – Interview with Dimensional CEO
Bloomberg’s Masters in Business series recently interviewed David Booth, founder, Chairman and co-CEO of Dimensional Fund Advisers (DFA).
The interview offers a fascinating insight into David’s own background and how he went from being a teaching assistant of future Nobel laureate Gene Fama, to leading a firm often seen as the applied think tank from the University of Chicago, in conjunction with a star cast of leading academics.
Mr Booth also speaks of the enduring appeal of the firm’s investment approach, which continues to evolve in tandem with financial theory; an approach that has allowed Dimensional to grow from a standing start in the 1980’s, to managing over $400 billion of client assets today.
From the beginning of MASECO, Dimensional has been a key strategic partner of our firm and we hope you will find the podcast both interesting and informative.
