The award, which has become a much-loved tradition within the financial planning community, is presented each year to someone who displays high values, kindness, and strong moral standards, and who has made a substantial contribution to the profession.
This year, the 2025 Tony Sellon ‘Good Egg’ Award Memorial Prize was awarded to Quentin McCormick CFP™ Chartered FCSI (Financial Planning) of Verso Wealth Management.
James Sellon commented:
“It is a privilege to be asked by the CISI to present this award each year. My focus on placing great importance on values and the more personal side of the financial services industry is something that I have clearly learnt from my father. I am so pleased that the award in his name continues to inspire individuals to foster and exhibit all of the behaviours that make our profession prosper.”
Chris Morris, Chartered MCSI, CISI Head of Financial Planning Policy & Engagement, added:
“We congratulate this year’s winners for their outstanding commitment to excellence in financial planning. Their dedication to ethical practice and client success sets a benchmark for the profession and the future of financial planning.”
The ‘Good Egg Award’ continues to be a heartfelt reminder of the importance of ethics, empathy and integrity within the financial planning profession – qualities that Tony championed throughout his life and career.
Congratulations to the 2025 winner, Quentin McCormick, and to all who continue to embody the values that make financial planning a profession built on trust, care and community.
