MASECO Transforms Team Away Day with Sound Healing Sessions for Mind, Body and Soul
Written by MarketingAt MASECO, we believe in looking after our staff as much as we do our clients. We understand that creating a positive working environment and ensuring the well-being of employees is essential for any business to thrive. We take staff wellness seriously, investing time and resources to ensure our team is supported and has access to the best healthcare and well-being initiatives possible. Not only does this create an environment where our team can flourish, but it also helps us to provide an elevated experience for our clients through improved productivity and superior service levels. Working with both physical and mental well-being in mind ultimately leads to higher morale and job satisfaction – something everyone at MASECO benefits from.
That is why, at our recent MASECO team Away Day, we invited Casey Downie-Campbell, founder of Sensory Land to join us to lead a sound healing session. Sound Healing is a holistic practice that uses vibrations to encourage relaxation and promote healing on both physical, mental and emotional levels. It has been used for centuries in various cultures worldwide, and today is becoming more popular as a tool for self-care and growth in the West.
During our session with Casey, we experienced first-hand how gentle yet powerful this therapy can be. She guided us through different stages of meditation and breathing exercises to reduce stress levels while creating a soundscape using crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and drums. Music is a potent tool for healing; it helps develop a sense of safety, allowing participants to let go of any tension or stress they are holding onto in the body. This session was tailored to accommodate the room layout, and staff were seated, bringing alive the lessons in our day-to-day lives at our desks.
As we relaxed further, we were struck by the physical and emotional release that sound healing induces. Our whole sense of being was lifted as tensions melted away and our energy levels were restored. We left feeling more connected to ourselves and each other, a sense of well-being lingering long after Casey had finished playing her instruments.
Sound Healing is an incredible tool for relaxation and renewal, with benefits ranging from reduced stress and improved sleep quality to increased creativity and clarity of thought. We all found it immensely helpful and beneficial.
