Specific Responsibilities

  • Delivering a comprehensive financial planning administration service to support the Wealth Manager (WM) throughout the client onboarding process and maintaining on-going client relationships.
  • Interacting with existing and prospective clients as well as introducers, both independently and on behalf of the WM, ensuring that all communications are carried out in a professional and courteous manner and providing a proactive client service. This is including but not limited to proactively obtaining information to create cashflow plans in advance of meetings, the follow-up for the return of documentation and providing general investment information to the client.
  • Beginning to cultivate relationships with external intermediaries to generate future leads into the business.
  • Beginning to develop and build network of suitable target clients via participation in General Enquiries inbox.
  • Independently following the appropriate MPW sales process when bringing a new client in. Independently following the appropriate review process for MPW clients and assemble necessary documentation for client meetings, not limited to presentations /meeting materials/review documentation and confidential information.
  • Lead presentation of cash flow plans within a client meeting alongside the WM and be able to make changes and adjustments to reflect the discussion and any changes in data or goals and objectives.
  • Proactively review historic meeting notes to prepare proactive agendas and topics of discussion during progress meetings.
  • Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge relating to core product areas and surrounding US and international legislation and be able to translate that to practical applications for clients with the goal of adding value to client relationships.
  • Produce high-quality and professional client-friendly reports, including CGT calculations, based on information provided by the WM.
  • Liaising with our Client Services team to ensure smooth client onboarding and maintenance of existing clients.
  • Preparing onboarding documentation free from errors and proactively raise issues which could cause delays at account opening stage (e.g. statements missing cost basis, ID/AV out of date, Trust deeds not certified).
  • Assess a client or prospective client’s residency and tax profile to help determine the most appropriate platform and portfolio strategy to help meet a client’s objectives.
  • Liaising with platforms and service providers, as required.
  • Understanding the requirements of various platforms and service providers (e.g. wet certified documents for RJUK, when an LOA is required for money movements on Pershing, which platforms allow 529s, etc.)
  • Preparing rebalance sheets for client portfolios with an understanding of the principles and knowledge required to rebalance and subsequently complete all required post-trade checks.
  • Preparing FX sheets and liaising with the platform to place Spot FX trades, as licensed.
  • Accompany the WM to meetings and take notes as required.
