Ben Lightfoot, CFP™
A native of Austin, Texas, Ben joined MASECO in 2021 after moving to the UK in 2020. Ben’s experience in financial services dates to 2006, and prior to joining MASECO he had a long-standing career as a VP – Financial Consultant with Charles Schwab in Denver, Colorado. While at Schwab, he was recognized with multiple Key Contributor Awards, as well as, high promotor scores from high net-worth clients for his expertise in comprehensive financial planning and tax-efficient wealth structuring.
As a US expat, Ben has first-hand experience in navigating the complexities of managing wealth across the US and UK and carries a passion for helping others do the same. Joining MASECO was a natural fit for Ben due to their expertise in cross-border financial planning, which encompasses a practical and evidence-based approach to investing.
In his spare time…
A wanderlust adventurer, Ben enjoys globetrotting to different places with his husband, often trying new activities and tasting local foods off the beaten path, while building life-long friendships along the way. With each trip to a different country, rest assured Ben can be found looking for jungle critters, scuba-diving, or trekking to animal sanctuaries in need of support. On a typical day in London, Ben enjoys cycling throughout the city, exploring the many parks, mews, and different neighbourhoods ending the day with a home-cooked Tex-Mex meal. Among Ben’s muses, his perfunctory fondness for the performing arts led him to join the City of London Choir in 2021.
